Description

This house is one of the few domestic buildings in Famagusta that retains sections dating to the Venetian period. Its north-facing entrance and façade present a solid and orderly appearance typical of the Italian Renaissance. It has been known in the past as the Queen's house as it is believed that the last Queen of Cyprus, Caterina Cornaro, lived here just prior to her abdication in 1489.
